Prior positions include performance and results monitoring technical officer at the Academy for Educational Development and senior technical advisor, Public Health Institute, assigned to the Office of Population, USAID. Anastasia Gage’s research has focused on issues such as access to maternal health services, violence against women, adolescent health risk behaviors, decision-making about sexual activity and contraceptive use, and gender issues. She has also been involved in studies designed to monitor the implementation and effectiveness of health interventions in a number of African countries.
Gage is principal investigator for the Tulane University sub-agreement with the University of North Carolina on the USAID-funded MEASURE Evaluation Project. Under this project, she is conducting an evaluation of a gender-focused reproductive health program.
