When the year 2011 began I was cautiously expectant of what the Network would be able to achieve within the year. One year on I can say it has been quite challenging but in the setbacks that slowed down their work, but same breath truly rewarding. In the past year I can count numerous ways in which all INDEPTH’s stakeholders supported the Network’s activities and demonstrated their determination to assist the Secretariat and member centres to realise their cherished dreams. In offering a quick review of the work of the Network, I can say I am truly excited to look back on the year gone by. Virtually every sphere of our core business was addressed through one intervention or the other. In the face of limited funds, the Working Groups, with strong leadership were appreciably active and productive showing commitment to their specific areas of research
